I'm a professional historian and the owner of Perennial History LLC, a historical consulting company. My clients have included the National Park Service, US Coast Guard, Automotive Hall of Fame, Society for Science, Remy Martin Cognac, Sentara Healthcare, Arthurdale Heritage Inc., and Wavetronix.

I have worked in the historical profession for over a decade as a consultant, museum professional, historic site interpreter, and archivist. I've written museum exhibition scripts, created a documentary, developed website and social media content, conducted oral histories, cataloged archival collections, and researched historic properties.

I have a master's degree in history with a concentration in public history from West Virginia University. Although I specialize in the history of the American Civil War, I have conducted client-based research on a wide array of subjects.
